Notification System

When is Notification Required

Facilities that are involved in the following activities are subject to the notification requirement under the Chemical Weapons (Convention) Ordinance (Cap. 578) :

  1. produced during the previous year more than 200 tonnes of Unscheduled Discrete Organic Chemicals (UDOCs); or

  2. comprised one or more plants which produced during the previous year more than 30 tonnes of a UDOC containing the elements phosphorus, sulfur or fluorine (PSF-chemicals).
