Schedule 2 Facilities

Records required to be kept by permit holders which produced, processed or consumed Schedule 2 chemicals (pdf format) during the particular year include -

  1. the identity of each Schedule 2 chemical produced, processed or consumed at the facilities during the particular year, or anticipated to be produced, processed or consumed in the year following the particular year, including its International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) chemical name, its structural formula, its Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) registry number (if assigned), and its common or trade name (if any);

  2. the number of plant and the name of each plant within the facility that produced, processed or consumed Schedule 2 chemicals during the particular year or anticipated to produce, process or consume Schedule 2 chemicals in the year following the particular year;

  3. for each Schedule 2 chemical stated in (a) above -

    1. the amount produced, processed, consumed, imported or exported by the facility during the particular year;

    2. the amount anticipated to be produced, processed, consumed by the facility in the year following the particular year and the time periods for the anticipated production, processing and consumption;

    3. the purpose(s) for each Schedule 2 chemical produced, processed or consumed during the particular year, or anticipated to be produced, processed or consumed in the year following the particular year, -

      • if the Schedule 2 chemical was (or anticipated to be) processed or consumed on site, to maintain records on the major products for which the Schedule 2 chemical was (or anticipated to be) processed or consumed;

      • if the Schedule 2 chemical was (or anticipated to be) sold or transferred to other local facilities, to maintain records on the recipient facility's name, address, business nature and, if any, the possible final product types of each transaction/transfer;

      • if the Schedule 2 chemical was (or anticipated to be) exported to other destination, to maintain records on the name of the recipient's country and the relevant export licence number (not applicable for anticipated export) for each export; and/or

      • if none of the above applies, details of the other purposes.
  4. for each plant stated in (b) above -

    1. the name of the major products manufactured during the particular year, or anticipated to be manufactured during the year following the particular year, in the plant; and

    2. the production capacity (with calculation method) during the particular year, or anticipated production capacity in the year following the particular year, of the plant for each Schedule 2 chemical.
